In the Spirit of the John Lennon Wall

At the Lennon Wall Online is the student newspaper of Anglo-American College, an English-language, independent liberal arts college in Prague. The newspaper takes its name from the John Lennon Wall, a symbol of freedom of expression only a few steps from AAC's Mala Strana campus in one of the oldest and most beautiful parts of the city. During the communist era, young people defied tyranny by exercising their freedom of expression at that wall. Their messages were removed by the authorities again and again. The students put their messages back, again and again.

Anglo-American College's journalism students, who come from all over Central Europe, feel a part of that tradition. Their goal is to produce an independent newspaper whose devotion to free expression and truth lives up to the spirit of the Lennon Wall.

This semester's paper, which will appear every Wednesday, is produced by reporting students.
